Did you observe any rock fall events in the Alps?
We are highly interested in your observations and/or photos!
In the scope of the observations of permafrost dynamics, PERMOS documents rock fall events that originate in permafrost areas.
We are about to build a Swiss permafrost rock fall inventory in collaboration with the Federal Office for the Environment (BAFU), the WLS Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research (SLF), and the Swiss Mountain Guide Association (SBV).
The rock fall events are collected based on existing inventories as well as new surveys in the scope of a Masters Thesis at the Department of Geography at the University of Zurich.
If you have observed a rock fall event in the high mountain areas (i.e., originating above the tree line),
please fill out the questionnaire below and send it to us by mail or e-mail.
